The US Powerballis the world’s biggest lottery and is made up of a shared lottery jackpot sold by 45 State lotteries in the USA. Powerball’s claim to fame has come by way of massive jackpots. The most notable of those prizes occurred on Wednesday, 13th January 2016, with a $1.5 billion USD jackpot. This came at the height of the US Powerball game, with entries coming in from far and wide all over the world, including the UK, India, Australia and Canada - shared evenly amongst only three lucky ticket holders.
Updates will be available after every draw on Lottotime. Powerball draws are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 22:59 ET (Thursday and Sunday 04:00 GMT).
Five main numbers will be needed to be chosen from a numbered possibility of just 69. Each player will also need to select a single Bonus Powerball number which will be a numbered selection of a possible 26.
If more than one person wins the jackpot, the prize is equally divided among the winners. All other prizes, from $1,000,000 down to $4, are fixed prize amounts and are paid in full to each winner.
